Inclusion & Diversity
Diversity In Our Stories
Netflix’s greatest impact is creating empathy and understanding through the stories we tell. We believe more people deserve to see their lives on screen, and are committed to finding new voices and working with established talent to increase the diversity of our films and series.
Inclusion In Our Workforce
We create and connect stories to people all around the globe. In order to tell these wide-ranging stories and make them accessible everywhere, we need employees from different backgrounds and a culture that celebrates those differences.Read more about inclusion at Netflix
At Netflix, we want to connect you to your next favorite story. We believe incredible stories should be enjoyed by all of our members, regardless of language, device, connectivity, or ability. We recognize the importance of representation on screen, and of the accessibility of our service. We also know that there is room for us to improve. We’re working with accessibility and disability advocacy groups, and regularly soliciting feedback from our members.
Making Our Apps and Devices Accessible
Making Our Films and Series Accessible
We are continually expanding our catalog of titles with subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing (SDH), and audio description (AD) for our members who are blind or visually impaired. All Netflix films and series support SDH for the language in which they were originally produced. Netflix members can browse titles with AD on our website, and can see titles with AD in our mobile apps by selecting “Audio Description” under the Categories menu. For additional information, please refer to our Help Center articles about AD, and SDH instructions and SDH appearance.
