World Premiere: A ‘Code 8 Part II’ Takeover

We went all out to celebrate the premiere of Code 8 Part II in the country where it all came to be – right here in Canada!

It was an exciting night in Toronto on February 26 as we took over the TIFF Lightbox to mark our biggest premiere event in Canada yet! Hundreds of attendees, including family, fans, and content creators, filled the theatre in support of the cast and crew of Code 8 Part II. 

Dynamic duo and Canadian cousins, Robbie and Stephen Amell, were joined by the director, Jeff Chan, and fellow Canadian castmates, including Sirena Gulamgaus, Alex Mallari Jr., Aaron Abrams, Jean Yoon (and many more!) to take part in the action-packed night. The cast met with excited fans in the fan zone, and walked the glowing Code 8 Part II carpet (heads up — one of the drones made an appearance too!)

Life-sized robot police kept a watchful eye on attendees as they picked up their popcorn and drinks before walking into the theatre. And if that wasn’t immersive enough, guests were also able to fly over Lincoln City with an interactive photo-op where they could hang off of a flying drone. If guests weren’t too keen on heights, they could take part in the interactive electric current activation to see what it’d be like to be powered in the Code 8 world.

Before the film began, Robbie, Stephen, and Jeff shared some words with the audience. After the screening, guests were treated to a Q&A with the Amell cousins, Jeff, Alex, and Sirena where they spoke about their passion for the movie, filming in Canada, and how much the fans mean to them — the Code 8 world all began because of a crowdfunding campaign after all!
