Netflix has greenlit the production of its new series No Crushing Allowed and unveiled its star-studded cast, featuring Moon Sang-min, Shin Sia, Lee Min-jae, and Choi Hee-jin.

No Crushing Allowed follows nineteen-year-olds forbidden to date who find themselves falling in love for the first time, set against the backdrop of two prestigious rival schools — Jinwol Boys' High and Jinwol Girls' High — separated by a single wall. Urban legend has it that whoever hops the wall will pay the price, while the schools’ strict policy is clear: get caught dating, and you’re expelled. Heartfluttering moments and the thrill of first love unfold alongside the highs and lows of modern-day school life, promising to leave viewers feeling nostalgic and swooning. This series carries on the legacy of globally beloved Netflix K-teen romcoms, including Love Untangled and Love Alarm.

No Crushing Allowed is helmed by Jamie K Lee (Filing for Love, My Dearest Nemesis, Sh**ting Stars), celebrated for her refined and stylish take on romance. The series is penned by Lee Na-eun (Melo Movie, Our Beloved Summer), known for dialogue that feels grounded and true to life while still giving audiences butterflies. Bringing their signature sensibilities to the story, the two creators join forces to offer a fresh yet familiar take on young romance, captivating viewers across the globe.

Adding even more excitement to the series is a lineup of rising stars perfectly suited for a young romance. One of the most sought-after young actors, Moon Sang-min (Pavane, To My Beloved Thief, Under the Queen’s Umbrella) stars as Lee Chi-won, the trusted straight-A student and student body president of Jinwol Boys’ High. Breakout star Shin Sia (Resident Playbook, The Witch: Part 2. The Other One) takes on the role of So Ran, student body president of Jinwol Girls’ High and a promising track and field athlete. Lee Chi-won is the complete package, excelling in academics, athletics and personality, while So Ran is a passionate competitor who has always seen Chi-won as her ultimate rival. Their nuanced chemistry unfolds as the two, who grew up in the same neighborhood, begin to question whether the feelings between them are driven by their competitive streak — or the butterflies of first love.

Lee Min-jae (Weak Hero Class 2, Crash Course in Romance) brings his own charm to the role of Gong Su-ho, a Jinwol Boys' High student locked in a love-hate rivalry with Chi-won who approaches So Ran for reasons of his own. Choi Hee-jin (Heavenly Ever After, I DOL I) plays Kim Ri-ji, a bright, bubbly transfer student at Jinwol Girls' High and So Ran's roommate, adding a fresh layer of tension to the story. All eyes are on what ripple effects Gong Su-ho and Kim Ri-ji will bring as they enter the lives of Chi-won and So Ran — and on the story of growth and heart-fluttering first love that unfolds among these four young people.

No Crushing Allowed, the newest K-teen romance packed with the nostalgia of first love, will premiere exclusively on Netflix.
