Jan (Dennis Mojen) has a plan: the perfect marriage proposal for his girlfriend Pia (Janina Uhse). Disguised as a fun scavenger hunt, he lures her and their group of friends out into the countryside. But the romantic surprise quickly turns into something else – old conflicts resurface, and the group finds itself in very real danger.

The group of friends from Blame the Game is back: Pia, Jan, Karo (Anna Maria Mühe), Olli (Axel Stein), Sheila (Taneshia Abt), Kurt (Max Brettschneider) and Alex (Edin Hasanovic) embark on a new round that easily tops their first wild night.

Adding a breath of fresh air to the group is newcomer Lilja Van Der Zwaag, who plays Jan's ex-girlfriend. And for some real thrills, there is a trio of nasty gangsters: Ben Becker, Bärbel Schwarz and Martin Reckers.

Marco Petry once again directs the sequel to the successful comedy Blame the Game, with Claudius Pläging returning to write the screenplay. Production officially began on July 22, 2026, in Berlin.

About the Sequel to Blame the Game

It is supposed to be the perfect proposal: Jan has planned an elaborate scavenger hunt in the countryside for his girlfriend Pia, staged with the help of his best friend Alex. But when one of Jan's ex-girlfriends unexpectedly shows up, the group's dynamics are thrown into turmoil. Old conflicts resurface, and doubts arise between Jan and Pia as to whether their relationship is really as strong as they both believed.

When the group also falls into the hands of a group of ill-tempered gangsters, the romantic plan takes a definitive turn. Instead of grand emotions and a happy ending, the question suddenly becomes whether anyone will make it out of this alive – let alone whether anyone will still be saying “yes” at the end.
