Netflix reveals the Grifters cast and drops a teaser

São Paulo, September 22, 2026 - “Hello! We've got an incredible deal for you. Can you just confirm your information?" What starts like just another everyday call reveals a world of easy money, flashy spending and online scams. This is the world of GRIFTERS, Netflix's original new Brazilian show, for which the cast and a brand new teaser have been revealed. Starring Samuel Naor (Biel) in his acting debut, the show also features Giovanna Cremonezi (Patrícia), Traplaudo (Richard), MC Chaverin (Lukinhas), MC Dricka (Thamyris), MC GP (TH) and Nath Fischer (Lara), who make up the show's Scam Gang, along with MC Nilo (Chacota). Charismatic, debauched, and hyper-connected, the kids discover that online scams could change their lives. But they quickly find themselves facing the consequences of their own decisions. Known as grifters, a common term for digital swindlers, they oscillate between a desire to improve their lives, the challenges of life on the outskirts of the city and the dilemmas that arise along the way. “Grifters uses online scams as a starting point to address relevant issues in Brazil, through the lens of society on the outskirts of São Paulo. We follow young people who find a shortcut to transform their lives but, over the course of that journey, they need to learn to live with the choices they've made, and their consequences. We wanted to create complex characters, driven by their ambitions and desires, with the contradictions that make us human. Casting was key to the process, combining new talents and artists who brought their own repertoire and insights to the characters and gave the show the energy and identity we were aiming for," says Kaique Alves, showrunner and one of the show's creators, alongside Konrad Dantas (KondZilla) and Felipe Braga. Chronically online, with fresh language, Grifters combines thriller and comedy elements as well as the unique culture of São Paulo's suburbs in a story about ambition, survival and how far people are willing to go in their search for more. Directed by Kaique Alves, Grifters was developed by KondZilla and LB Entertainment, and produced by Manas Filmes. The screenplay is by Thiago Dottori, Raul Perez, Donna Oliveira and Teodoro Poppovic.
