Berlin, 11/11/2021 – Prosecco, powder and perfection – KITZ will be released on Netflix, just in time for New Year. But new year’s resolutions and good intentions are hardly on the minds of the It-crowd teenagers from Munich who join Instagram-Model Vanessa (Valerie Huber) for her New Year’s party-of-the-year in Kitzbühel. In the Aspen of the Alps, hedonistic excess reigns – cue bare skin and forbidden liaisons, out of control teens and family drama. Local waitress Lisi (Sofie Eifertinger) wants to be a part of it. In order to infiltrate the alien world of the rich and beautiful, she will use any means necessary. But it’s not a longing for luxury that drives her. A year ago, Lisi’s brother Josef (Felix Mayr) fell in love with seemingly perfect Vanessa. Shortly afterwards, he died and Lisi doesn’t believe it was an accident. Her plan? Keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer.

KITZ is a Young Adult Mystery-Drama available exclusively and worldwide on Netflix from 12/30/2021. The teaser for KITZ was shown yesterday for the first time at the SERIENCAMP FESTIVAL in Munich. The cast includes Sofie Eifertinger, Bless Amada, Valerie Huber, Zoran Pingel and Ben Felipe, alongside Krista Tcherneva, Florence Kasumba, Souhaila Amade and Tyron Ricketts.

The Showrunners for the visually stunning Netflix series are Producer Vitus Reinbold from Odeon Fiction and Nikolaus Schulz-Dornburg, who was also Head Writer for the show. The further scripts are written by Tanja Bubbel, Daniela Baumgärtl, Janina Dahse and Korbinian Hamberger. The show was directed by Maurice Hübner (episodes 1-3) and Lea Becker (episodes 4-6).

KITZ is supported by the FilmFernsehFonds Bayern, the German Motion Picture Fund, the Cine Tirol Film Commission and the Medien- und Filmgesellschaft Baden-Württemberg.
